What we store
When you use SomoySathi on WhatsApp, we store your WhatsApp number, your profile name, the messages, voice notes, photos and files you send, and the reminders and notes created from them. We also keep basic technical data such as message times and delivery status.
How to request deletion
Do either of these: (1) from the WhatsApp number you use with SomoySathi, message +880 1895-626070 saying you want your data deleted (for example “DELETE MY DATA”), or (2) email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion” and include your WhatsApp number. Our team handles every request personally.
Identity check
So nobody else can delete your data, we verify requests by your WhatsApp number. If you ask by email, we will send a confirmation message to that number on WhatsApp, and deletion starts once you reply.
When it is deleted
Within 30 days of verification, your account, messages, voice notes, files, reminders and notes are permanently deleted from our servers and backups. Deleted data cannot be recovered, and no further reminders will be sent.
What may be kept longer
We may need to keep some records longer for legal or accounting reasons, such as payment records once paid plans start, or records needed to prevent fraud and abuse. These are used only for that purpose and deleted when no longer needed. The chat you see in WhatsApp stays on your phone; you can delete it yourself in WhatsApp.
Confirmation
When deletion is complete, we let you know on WhatsApp (and by email if you asked by email). If you message SomoySathi again afterwards, you start as a new user.
